Detailed information on the job offer

Job profile: The job description as a maintenance employee (m/f/d)

Modern processing machines are complex structures in which various electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic elements are combined to form a coherent system. This requires experts who know how to look after these demanding patients in their day-to-day work. An industrial mechanic is such a specialist who understands technical correlations, analyzes error messages, conducts root cause analysis and can rectify faults.
He keeps our important work equipment in working order and is the first point of contact if there are technical machine problems. With our versatile machinery, we can guarantee a varied range of tasks that challenge and develop our employees.

On a production area of over 9000m², we offer our more than 120 employees a secure and varied workplace, whether in the turning shop, milling shop, quality assurance, welding shop or metalworking shop. We invest both in state-of-the-art technology and in our employees, who can experience a friendly and familiar working environment with us. 10 trainees are currently gaining their first professional experience and benefit from a collegial and instructive atmosphere in which personal initiative and professional development are encouraged.
We reward commitment: in addition to the shift allowance, we motivate our employees with a performance-based bonus system and external events such as our annual summer party or Christmas party.

What qualities does a maintenance technician need to have?

Our complex processing machines require good knowledge in the areas of electrics, mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics, as well as experience in working with PLC and CNC controls.
Troubleshooting and analysis is often like detective work, which requires a patient, independent and thorough approach. A technical curiosity and a good ability to concentrate help with familiarization with interwoven structures and root cause analysis.
Active operational readiness is also desirable, so that in emergencies the greatest consequential damage from an accident can be prevented by prompt repair measures. It goes without saying that this commitment pays off for every employee at Kersten Maschinenbau GmbH through our performance-oriented bonus system.
